Summer gardening class, seasonal herbalism, and more!

Eat well while healing the earth

 Join us to celebrate and honor the Earth’s bounty on Saturday, April 18 in NFI’s urban garden!

Urban food gardening course – spaces still available! Starts Saturday, April 18 (ten sessions)
10:00 a.m. – noon at the NFI Urban GardenFood growing is a skill that lasts a lifetime – and sustainable growing helps heal the earth. Join NFI’s summer gardening course to learn urban food growing from arugula to zucchini!

No prior experience is necessary! Total beginners are welcome – as are growers with some experience who want to take it to the next level.

Our all-inclusive summer gardening course begins Saturday, April 18. Expert instruction, your own garden plot, and all materials are provided.

Summer Herbalism: Cleansing and Nourishing Saturdays, April 18 & 25 (two sessions)
11:00am – 1:00pm at the NFI Urban Garden

Our hands-on summer herbalism class shows you how to grow the herbs that can be used for wellness early in the season. Participants in our summer course (which meets for two sessions) will plant herbs, learn about the properties of the plants, and prepare a vinegar, oil, and/or salve for use at home.  For full details, click here.
